Why she writes on the Anima Felix blog

Dana wrote a guest essay for our blog about the space between therapy sessions, using virtual companions with discernment, and why a psychotherapist's humanity is itself therapeutic. It is the same boundary Anima Felix keeps: a complementary tool, never a substitute for the relationship with a human.

What she focuses on

- classical Morenian psychodrama
- couple therapy and relationships
- EMDR for complex interventions
- prevention and psychoeducation
- resources, creativity, and community support

Brief bio

## Background

Dana Mărghidan has a base training in classical Morenian psychodrama with a permanent focus on resources, creativity, and relationships, doctoral research in couple therapy, and, more recently, an EMDR training for situations that call for complex interventions. Across nearly 30 years of working in the therapy room and in academic settings (school, high school, university), she has seen how much we need prevention, support, and resources, in groups and individually, before things reach a crisis point.

She likes to say that the everyday, less visible "ant work" matters most: it builds a solid base for any complex project, one that holds up under challenges. She believes this work bears its best fruit when done as a team, in and for the community, and that psychoeducation and support are needed to change how we function in relationships and in the community as a whole.

Where her approach starts

## A little caring weighs a lot

Like many others, she has felt first-hand how much a little caring counts in certain moments, a person or a group standing nearby, and how heavily indifference weighs. That is how she works: prevention, psychoeducation, and support, before things reach a crisis.

## Humans and virtual companions

Her guest essay: why the most important part of therapy happens between sessions, what virtual companions can and cannot do, and why a therapist's imperfect humanity heals.
