Cookies and similar browser storage technologies help websites function, remember choices, and measure usage. Some are strictly necessary; others are optional and require consent.

Used for campaign attribution and marketing measurement. Even after you accept marketing cookies, the Meta and TikTok pixels are not loaded on sensitive content pages - such as our anxiety topic pages, health-related blog articles, and the account-deletion page - so visits to those pages are never shared with those advertising providers.

3. Legal basis and consent
Strictly necessary technologies are used for legitimate service operation. Optional analytics and marketing technologies are activated only after your consent where required.
Before you make a choice in the cookie banner, Google Analytics runs in Google Consent Mode with every consent signal set to denied. In this state it sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device; it sends only cookieless, aggregated measurement signals (such as page views and traffic source) that we use to understand overall visit volume (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest). If you decline, these signals stop entirely and no analytics or marketing technology runs. If you accept, the analytics and marketing cookies described on this page are activated.
Our Google Analytics (GA4) setup records two app-acquisition events: download_intent_click when you choose a website link leading to an Anima Felix or AFK download page, and app_store_click when you continue to the App Store or Google Play. They include non-identifying context such as the app, store, page, language, and link surface. Before you make a consent choice, these events follow the cookieless Consent Mode behavior described above; after you accept, they may use the GA4 cookies listed below. Declining stops them entirely.
